LONDON — Hollywood star Will Smith on Thursday visited neighborhoods in the Southern part of the British capital on what his guide called a tour of the “real London.”
Chuka Umunna, a member of Britain’s parliament who is part of the Labour Party, tweeted that he took the star to a school, a music venue and a coffee shop, among other things.

The two men visited Brixton and Lambeth, finishing with a question-and-answer session at St. Martin’s School in the Tulse Hill area, TV network ITV reported. “Will wanted to see ‘real’ London, and it doesn’t get more real than Lambeth!” tweeted Umunna, who serves as the opposition Labour Party’s “shadow business secretary.”
Smith is in London with son Jaden, who is in the city supporting Justin Bieber on his Believe tour, which makes a four-gig stop at the capital’s O2 Arena, according to ITV.
“So…took Will Smith to @electricbrixton, Windrush Sq, @bcaheritage, coffee at @federationcoffe in @brixtonvillage, finishing at St Martin’s Sch,” Umunna also tweeted. “Pupils at St Martins, many of whom are my constituents, had no idea Will Smith was coming to school today. Incredible reception!”
