Tom McCarthy has been tapped to write Home Movies, a supernatural drama for DreamWorks.
Movies centers on a man who is able to revisit certain moments in his life through his home movies and change things. The idea was originally hatched inside the studio and Jared Stern was the original writer.
Shawn Levy is producing via his 21 Laps banner along with Nash Entertainment’s Bruce Nash and Robert Kosberg.
Gersh-repped McCarthy is a triple threat of writer-director-actor who wrote and directed the acclaimed films The Station Agent and The Visitor. His most recent film was Win-Win, the Fox Searchlight family drama starring Paul Giamatti.
