A 25th anniversary screening of the original Jurassic Park and sneak peeks at Disney’s Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2 and Laika’s Missing Link have been added to the program for the 45th Siggraph conference, Aug. 12–16 at the Vancouver Convention Centre.
The Jurassic Park screening at the annual CG confab will be introduced by Steve “Spaz” Williams, one of the ILM VFX pioneers on the groundbreaking film.
Additionally, production sessions will examine the making of Blade Runner 2049, which won a VFX Oscar earlier this year; Pixar’s Incredibles 2; Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War; and Game of Thrones season seven.
The production gallery, another confab highlight, will include an exhibition with 50 pieces of original artwork from legendary futurist Syd Mead, known for contributions to Blade Runner, Tron, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Aliens and Blade Runner 2049.
