Nearly two decades after coming on the scene with his remake of Dawn of the Dead, Zack Snyder returns to his zombie roots in the first trailer for Army of the Dead.
The Netflix film, due out May 21, centers on a mercenary group attempting a casino heist in the middle of a zombie-fied Las Vegas.
Dave Bautista leads a cast that includes Omari Hardwick, Hiroyuki Sanada, Garret Dillahunt, Raúl Castillo, Nora Arnezeder, Matthias Schweighöfer, Samantha Win and Rich Cetrone.
Snyder penned the script with Shay Hatten and Joby Harold. In addition to the Army of the Dead feature, there is also a prequel anime series in the works at Netflix.
It’s a Snyder-filled few months, with his cut of Justice League due out on March 18 on HBO Max.
