Zoe Saldana is not joining the Hollywood figures who are pushing for a Dolce & Gabbana boycott.
After the Italian designers said in a recent interview that children born through in vitro fertilization are “synthetic,” celebrities such as Elton John, Ryan Murphy and Andy Cohen said they would no longer wear Dolce & Gabbana clothing. But Saldana is not holding the fashion plates’ comments against them.
“That would be the stupidest thing, if it affected my fashion choice,” Saldana, who recently gave birth to twins, told E! News. “People are allowed to their own opinion. However, I wouldn’t have chosen to be so public about something that’s such a personal thing.”
“Obviously, it caused some sensitivity, but then again, if you continue to follow the news, you see they all kinda hugged it out, so why are we making a big deal about it?” the 36-year-old Guardians of the Galaxy actress continued.

This is a markedly different reaction than John’s, who said he “shall never wear Dolce and Gabbana ever again,” and Murphy’s, who said “there will be crickets going through Dolce & Gabbana stores soon.”
The designers appeared on CNN last week to clarify their comments. “We love gay couples, we love gay adoption, we love everything,” Stefano Gabbana said. “Domenico [Dolce] expressed his point of view.”
