A new trailer has been released for ’71, the directorial debut of Algerian-French filmmaker Yann Demange that stars Unbroken’s Jack O’Connell.
In the film, O’Connell’s character gets separated from his military unit amid the violent riots in the streets of Belfast, Northern Ireland. Searched for by loved ones and hunted down by the Provisional IRA and the British Army’s Military Reaction Force, the trailer alludes to a hellish journey for the film’s hero.
Sean Harris and Richard Dormer also feature in the film, written by Gregory Burke.
In a Berlin review, The Hollywood Reporter‘s film critic Leslie Felperin deemed the title “a gripping, nightmarish journey into the end of night that augurs great things for its debutant director.”
The movie hits U.S. theaters on Feb. 27, 2015.
