Coming off the sci-fi drama In Time, Amanda Seyfried next stars in the Summit thriller Gone.
Gone centers on Jill Parrish (Seyfried), who returns home from working the night shift to discover her sister’s bed empty. “Oh my god!,” Jill exclaims upon making the discovery.
Convinced that a serial killer, who kidnapped her years before, is behind her sister Molly’s disappearance, she races against the clock (12 hours, to be more exact) to prove to the police that she is right. “Why would he come back for you?,” an investigator asks. “I’m the only one who got away because I know his secret!,” Jill says exasperated.
Is Jill psychologically damaged? Is it all in her head? “What if Jill isn’t crazy? What if this guy really does have Molly?”
The Heitor Dhalia-directed film, slated for a Feb. 24 release, co-stars Wes Bentley, Jennifer Carpenter, Sebastian Stan, Emily Wickersham, Erin Carufel, Daniel Sunjata and Socratis Otto.
