Channing Tatum gets into training mode in the latest Foxcatcher teaser.
The clip shows Tatum, who portrays Olympic wrestler Mark Schultz, preparing to compete as Steve Carell‘s John du Pont ominously encourages him to bring home the gold for the United States.
The film is directed by Bennett Miller, who previously directed Brad Pitt in Moneyball and Philip Seymour Hoffman in Capote.
FILM REVIEW ‘Foxcatcher’
Carell is already earning raves for his performance, including being named as a potential Oscar contender.
In a review at the Cannes Film Festival in May, where the film had its world premiere, The Hollywood Reporter‘s chief film critic Todd McCarthy deemed Carell’s portrayal of John du Pont “a career-changing performance.”
THR’s awards analyst, Scott Feinberg, added the title to his early list of films that have a shot at landing a best picture Academy Award nomination.
Foxcatcher is set for wide release in the U.S. on the busy weekend of Nov. 14, opening against Universal’s comedy sequel Dumb and Dumber To, Sony/Columbia’s Brad Pitt World War II film Fury and Relativity’s Beyond the Lights.
