The 88th Academy Awards were hosted by Chris Rock at Hollywood's Dolby Theatre on Sunday evening.
The Hateful Eight was named best original score at the 88th Annual Academy Awards on Sunday night.
Ennio Morricone accepted the award and gave thanks to Harvey Weinstein and his wife, Maria, during his acceptance speech. "Thank you to the Academy for this prestigious acknowledgment," he first said in gratitude. "There isn’t a great soundtrack without a great movie that inspires it."
The film beat out Bridge of Spies (Thomas Newman), Carol (Carter Burwell), Sicario (Johann Johannsson) and Star Wars: The Force Awakens (John Williams).
The Chris Rock-hosted awards were held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
