The awards honor the best of this year's festival.

Fans who aren't able to attend the frosty 2017 Sundance Film Festival Awards in person can watch the lauded stars, films and filmmakers receive their prizes in real time via live stream.

The Utah-based indie film festival is streaming its annual awards ceremony, which kicked off at 6 p.m. PT Saturday. The ceremony is hosted by actress and Daily Show alum Jessica Williams.

The winners are chosen by four juries of film and culture leaders. Additional audience award winners are selected by festgoers and will be revealed for the films in the U.S. and World Competitions and Next section.
