Exclusive content will go live on the app every Friday.

20th Century Fox is gearing up for the launch of X-Men: Apocalypse with a new fan app.

The app, which was created using technology from mobile startup Victorious, is focused on the community of avid X-Men fans. It will feature exclusive content that will refresh every Friday at noon PT, a place to interact with other fans and community events including giveaways.

"X-Men is one of the most beloved franchises of our time and has some of the world’s most passionate fans," said Victorious CEO Sam Rogoway. "Our expertise in growing engagement within fan communities combined with the diversity of the X-Men movies world will make this app a go-to-destination for superfans. We are thrilled to work with 20th Century Fox to mobilize the X-Men community in new and innovative ways."

In connection with the app launch, Fox is organizing a contest to find the 100 biggest X-Men fans. Those interested in participating can upload videos explaining their mutant powers to the app. The top 100 people with the most in-app followers during the contest will win exclusive giveaways. The top five people will be awarded an early screening of Apocalypse, among other prizes.

X-Men: Apocalypse is set to hit theaters May 27.
