852 greenlights its 'Dream Home'

First prod for new outfit stars Eason Chan, Anthony Wong

HONG KONG--852 Films, the Hong Kong-based production outfit headed by singer and actress Josie Ho, entrepreneur Conroy Chan and talent agent Andrew Ooi, has licensed its first production "Dream Home" to Fortissimo Films.

The picture, now in post-production, is a slasher thriller directed by rising talent Pang Ho-cheung ("Isabella"). It stars Ho, Eason Chan, veteran Anthony Wong ("Infernal Affairs") and Michelle Ye Suen. Wong and Ye both star in Johnnie To's upcoming Cannes competition film "Vengeance."

The film is story of a woman who, in order to buy her dream home, is willing to take increasingly desperate measures, including obtaining her dad's life insurance.

“We are hoping with 'Dream Home' to have a repeat of the success we previously enjoyed in the genre zone with 'The Eye' series of films," Fortissimo's Michael J. Werner said.
