The talent agency has also boarded three other literary agents from Paradigm: Martin Spencer, Antoni Kaczmarek and Kasey Muraszko.

A3 Artists Agency has added another four former Paradigm Talent Agency execs to its ranks, including Valarie Phillips as partner and co-head of its motion pictures literary division.

The Hollywood talent and literary agency has also hired Martin Spencer as an agent in the film literary division, and boarded Antoni Kaczmarek and Kasey Muraszko as agents in its TV literary department. Phillips comes to A3 after nearly two decades at Paradigm as part of its motion picture and TV literary divisions.

“While many agencies are unfortunately suffering through these horrible days of the pandemic, A3 is continuing to grow and build in a smart and authentic way. I’m thrilled to be working with Robert Attermann, Brian Cho and Adam Bold, and to be reunited with my friends and trusted former colleagues Andy Patman and Adam Kanter," Phillips said in a statement.

In July, A3 launched a literary division with the hire of former Paradigm execs Patman and Kanter, who became partner and co-head — now alongside Phillips — of motion pictures content. Phillips is joining the Hollywood talent agency that received a name change earlier this year after A3 Artists CEO Attermann, president Cho and chairman Bold bought the 41-year-old namesake firm from Harry Abrams in 2018.

“With Valarie at the helm to help lead our literary team, A3 continues to grow and operate as the premier full-service talent and literary agency we set out to be," Attermann said in his own statement.

As veteran Hollywood agents continue leaving old firms for new agencies, Spencer joins A3 from Paradigm, where he worked as a literary agent, and before that spent 27 years at CAA, where he came up through the mailroom. Kaczmarek also arrives at A3 from Paradigm, as does Muraszko, who began her entertainment career at Paradigm in 2015.

Phillips, Spencer, Kaczmarek and Muraszko will be based out of Los Angeles.
