A3 Artists Agency Taps Doug Fronk to Lead Literary TV

The veteran TV agent joins fellow former Paradigm execs Andy Patman, Adam Kanter and Valarie Phillips at the talent and literary agency.

A3 Artists Agency has hired Doug Fronk as partner and head of television literary at the Hollywood talent and literary agency.

Fronk arrives at A3 from Paradigm where he worked for 19 years and became co-head of the TV literary department in 2017. He joins fellow former Paradigm execs Andy Patman and Adam Kanter, who were earlier tapped to launch a literary division at A3, and Valarie Phillips, who recently became a partner and co-head of the agency's motion pictures literary division.

A3 president Brian Cho said Fronk joining the agency underscores its commitment to writers after signing the WGA code of conduct in 2019.

“Doug brings to the table a wealth of knowledge and experience representing top-tier clients and packaging numerous television shows. He is a key addition as he reunites with former colleagues, including Adam Kanter, Andy Patman, and Valarie Phillips, who are leading A3’s literary efforts," Cho said in a statement.

Fronk has packaged TV shows like Black-ish, Cobra Kai and Punky Brewster.  He joins the Hollywood talent agency after it received a name change in 2020 after A3 Artists CEO Robert Attermann, president Cho and chairman Adam Bold bought the 41-year-old namesake firm from Harry Abrams in 2018.
