ABC pilots for Parker, Robinson

Nicole Ari Parker has landed the female lead opposite Damon Wayans in ABC's comedy pilot "Never Better," while Keith Robinson has joined the ABC dramedy pilot "Good Behavior."

The Marc Buckland-directed "Never Better," from ABC Studios, centers on Keith (Wayans), a recovering alcoholic trying to be a good husband and father. Parker plays Keith's wife, Allison.

Also cast in the pilot is Matt Winston as Keith's AA leader.

Parker ("NowhereLand") is repped by Gersh and Blue Stone.

"Good Behavior," from ABC Studios and director Charles McDougall, is based on a New Zealand format and centers on Jackie West (O'Hara), the matriarch of a family of criminals who decides that it's time for her brood to go straight. Robinson will play Watts, a cop who frequently stops by the Wests' home and has a rapport with Jackie.

Robinson, who co-starred on "Canterbury's Law," is repped by Stone Manners and the Firm. (partialdiff)
