Abdul not idle, moves to APA

Paula Abdul has signed with APA. The agency will work with her on developing multigenerational, international lifestyle branding opportunities. Abdul, who is in her sixth season as a judge on Fox's hit series "American Idol," has shared in the four Emmy nominations that the show has received for best reality competition program. The singer-dancer-choreographer started her career as a Los Angeles Laker Girl and choreographer for the squad. She went on to choreograph videos for such artists as the Jacksons, Janet Jackson and Duran Duran, among many others, and won two Emmys for choreography for Fox's late-1980s series "The Tracey Ullman Show." In the early 1990s, she made a name for herself in the music world with her debut album, "Forever Your Girl," followed by such albums as "Spellbound" and "Head Over Heels." Her video for the song "Opposites Attract" won a Grammy for shortform music video in 1991.
