ACM Awards 2015: Show Sets Guinness World Record
"…an audience so big, we just made the Guinness Book of World Records," co-host Blake Shelton said during the live telecast.
When you hold an awards show in a football stadium, you're bound to have a lot of people in attendance.
According to hosts Luke Bryan and Blake Shelton, the 50th annual Academy of Country Music Awards — held at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas — set a Guinness World record for the most attended live awards show.
"They say everything is bigger in Texas," Shelton shouted.
"This is our biggest show ever," Bryan screamed.
"And an audience so big, we just made the Guinness Book of World Records," Shelton added.
"That's right. Tonight, we are the most attended live awards show of all time," Bryan said.
