Actresses join 'The Border'

Rapper Aubrey Graham to star in 'Us and Them' sitcom

TORONTO -- Tonya Lee Williams ("The Young and the Restless") and Grace Park ("Battlestar Galactica") are making a run for "The Border," the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. and ION Television action drama.

Williams will play a senior U.S. Department of Homeland Security agent, and Park her lieutenant in the Canadian drama about elite Canadian immigration and customs officers working with U.S. authorities to defend the Canadian-U.S. border against outside threats.

"The Border" is produced by Toronto-based indie producer White Pine Pictures.

Also Wednesday, Toronto-based the Nightingale Company said Canadian actor and rap artist Aubrey Graham ("Degrassi: The Next Generation") is to develop a new comedy series for the indie producer.

Graham, also known as the recording artist "Drake," and fellow actor Mazin Eisadig ("The Line") are to co-star in "Us and Them," a sitcom about best buddies -- and polar opposites – trying to make their way in the entertainment industry.

On the music side, Graham recently signed with Lil Wayne's record company Young Money Entertainment.
