Oscars 2015: Adam Levine Performs "Lost Stars" from 'Begin Again'

The Maroon 5 lead stars in the film alongside Keira Knightley and Mark Ruffalo.

Adam Levine performed Oscar-nominated song "Lost Stars" at the 87th Academy Awards at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on Sunday night.

Bedecked in a white shirt, black bowtie and black skinny jeans, and showing off his tattooed forearms, Levine and his band Maroon 5 performed the nominated song on the twinkly-lighted stage.

The singer and coach on NBC's The Voice performs the song in Begin Again and stars in the film alongside supporting actress nominee Keira Knightley and supporting actor nominee Mark Ruffalo (both nominated for other films).

Begin Again is the story of Dave (Levine) and Gretta (Knightley), who struggle in their relationship when Dave moves to New York to pursue his singing career. Also left behind by Dave, Dan (Ruffalo), a failing record exec, discovers Gretta when she is performing in a club and later collaborates with her on her first album.

"Lost Stars" was written by Gregg Alexander and Danielle Brisebois.
