Colombian Soap Star Adriana Campos Dies in Car Accident

Colombian soap opera star Adriana Campos, 36, and her partner died in a car accident on Tuesday, leaving behind a 1-year-old son.

El Tiempo reports the couple was driving in Antioquia when Campos' partner, Carlos Rincon, lost control of the car. It fell into a river and both Campos and Rincon were found dead, trapped inside the car

Campos was an actress famous in both Colombia and Mexico. She recently starred in a telenovela series called Amo de casa, and was also in shows like Victoria, Vecinos and Padres e hijos, as well as the movie Gringo Wedding. She has been nominated twice for the TVyNovelas Awards, which are the Latin equivalent of the Daytime Emmys.

Campos and Rincon's son was reportedly being looked after by his grandmother at the time of the accident.
