Move over, Kim Kardashian — there's another beauty competition series coming to Lifetime.

A+E Networks (parent company of Lifetime) and Herrick Entertainment are partnering for a new competition series called American Beauty Star. Hosted by supermodel Adriana Lima, the show will bring together 12 celebrity stylists and salon professionals to compete in a number of challenges, from creating editorial fashion looks to glam moments for red carpets and runway shows. At the end of the season, one contestant will be selected as the winner.

Legendary makeup artist Sir John, who counts Beyonce and Serena Williams as clients, will serve as a mentor for the contestants, and former Vogue beauty director Sarah Brown will be a judge alongside celebrity guests and beauty industry influencers, who have yet to be revealed.

"We are thrilled to be in partnership with A+E on the series, as it's the perfect home for our highly engaging and entertaining beauty competition series," said executive producer Norton Herrick of Herrick Entertainment. "The collection of talent and creativity makes the series a must-watch for beauty enthusiasts of all ages and interests."

Added Paul Buccieri, president A+E Studios and A+E Portfolio Group: "Herrick Entertainment has created a unique format in the beauty space marrying proven reality-competition story beats with fresh new twists and an outstanding cast of competitors who are at the top of their game."

Production on the 10 one-hour episodes begins in L.A. this June.

It is just the latest beauty competition series heading to the cable network. It was announced earlier this month that Kardashian is exec producing a reality competition on Lifetime called Glam Masters, which is described as an eight-episode series that will see the most creative and talented beauty bloggers vying for an opportunity to be part of the reality star's glam empire. Inquiring minds can find out more here.

In addition to creating the series, Herrick Entertainment is also producing American Beauty Star. Herrick is the executive producer of the series and Ross Elliot and Christian Murphy also executive produce.
