AFI Fest Announces 2014 Dates
Submission dates for the 28th annual film fest are June 27 and Aug. 8.
The American Film Institute has set the 28th annual AFI Fest for Nov. 6-13 in Hollywood.
Submissions for narrative, documentary, experimental, animated and short films are now open and can be made on the fest's website or through Withoutabox.com. The early deadline is June 27 and the final submission date is Aug. 8.
AFI Fest, which offers free tickets to all screenings, opened last year with the North American premiere of Saving Mr. Banks and closed with Inside Llewyn Davis. It also featured the world premieres of Lone Survivor and Out of the Furnace, along with tributes to American Hustle director David O. Russell and Nebraska star Bruce Dern.
The film festival's market partner is the American Film Market (AFM).
