AFI Sets Dates for 2016 Awards
The awards will recognize the creative teams behind the year's 10 most outstanding films and 10 most outstanding TV programs.
The American Film Institute will announce the recipients of its 2016 AFI Awards on Dec. 8.
Honoring the creative teams behind the year’s 10 most outstanding films and 10 most outstanding television programs, the awards will be presented at a private luncheon in Beverly Hills on Jan. 6.
The awards are selected by two juries comprising film and TV artists, scholars, critics and AFI trustees.
The deadline for television submissions is Oct. 20 at 5 p.m. PT, and that for film submissions is Oct. 27 at 5 p.m. PT. Submissions may be made online at AFI.com.
