'Suck Me Shakespeer 2' has grossed more than $66 million in Germany.

Italy and France are ready to laugh at German blockbuster comedy Suck Me Shakespeer 2.

Picture Tree International signed deals with Italian distributor Medusa and France's SND for the school-days laffer, Bora Dagtekin's sequel to his 2013 hit, starring Elyas M'Barek, Jella Haase and Karoline Herfurth. The movie, which has grossed more than $66 million in Germany, also went to A-Z Films for French Canada and was pre-sold across Eastern Europe and Russia.

Picture Tree also found buyers for more serious titles on its slate at the American Film Market, with Finnish war drama The Midwife going to Lighthouse for Germany, Entermode for South Korea and Vinery Intl. for Chinese release, among others; and artist biopic Egon Schiele nabbed by New Select for Japan, TCast for South Korea, A-Z Films for Canada and Cinemart for the Czech Republic, among other deals.

Daniel Augusto's drama, about the writer of The Alchemist and The Pilgrimage, went to Germany's MFA, Kino Swiat in Poland, Bir Film in Turkey, Israel's IBEX and Neo Films for Greece.
