SANTA MONICA – Exclusive Media has picked up international sales rights for upcoming titles from producers Sam Raimi and Lawrence Bender as well as for Out of the Dark, a supernatural thriller starring Julia Stiles (The Silver Linings Playbook).

Bender's Shomer -- which the Inglourious Basterds alum will produce together with Lauren Selig (Lone Survivor) and Ray Ricord – stars Welsh actor Aneurin Barnard (The White Queen) as Issac, a man chosen to be a shomer, the person who recites prayers over the recently deceased until the final burial. During one overnight vigil, Issac discovers that a demonic force is present in the corpse he is watching over: a force determined to destroy him. Spanish filmmaker Guillem Morales (Julie's Eyes) will direct. Len Blavatnik of Access Industries will executive produce together with AI Film's Aviv Giladi and Vince Holden.

Raimi's production of comedy mystery Murder of A Cat, the story of a man uncovering the secret double life of his murdered cat, stars Twilight's Nikki Reed, Fran Kranz (Cabin in the Woods), Blythe Danner (Meet the Parents), J.K. Simmons (Juno) and Greg Kinnear (Little Miss Sunshine). Gillian Greene will direct in her feature film debut. Molly Hassell and Ivan Orlic will co-produce.

Out of the Dark, the feature debut of Spanish director Luis Quilez, is being produced by Dynamo, Apaches Entertainment and XYZ Films with Jeff Skoll and Jonathan King executive producing for Participant Media. Exclusive and Participant Media co-financed the picture, in which Stiles plays a woman who relocates her family to Columbia only to be confronted by supernatural forces that threaten her daughter's life.
