Stuart Ford's AGC Studios is fully financing the Holocaust-themed revenge thriller from director Yuval Adler, with 'RoboCop' actor Joel Kinnaman in talks to co-star.

AGC Studios has greenlit the revenge thriller The Secrets We Keep, with Prometheus actress Noomi Rapace to headline. RoboCop actor Joel Kinnaman is in talks to co-star in the feature from Israeli director Yuval Adler.

AGC will fully finance The Secrets We Keep and produce with Transformers producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura's Di Bonaventura Pictures and Greg Shapiro and Adam Riback of Echo Lake Entertainment.

The Secrets We Keep is set to begin production in early 2019.

The plot, from a script by Ryan Covington, follows Maja (Rapace) as she tries to rebuild her life with her husband and a fellow Holocaust survivor, Dobie, in New York in the years after WWII. But after an encounter with an eerily familiar man who seems to resemble one of their tormentors at the Birkenau death camp, their lives start to unravel.

Kinnaman (Suicide Squad, Altered Carbon) would play the mysterious stranger.

Adler won plaudits for his directorial debut, Bethlehem, which premiered at the 2013 Venice Film Festival and won best film in the Venice Days section. The Secrets We Keep is his English-language debut.

AGC will be handling world sales on the film and is introducing it to buyers at the American Film Market this week. The would-be mini-major, launched this year by former IM Global boss Stuart Ford, is having a good market. Its new title, Breaking News in Yuba Country, starring Allison Janney and Laura Dern, is one of the hottest projects at AFM. Directed by The Help's Tate Taylor, it is expected to sell out worldwide in the coming days.

Rapace is repped by CAA, Magnolia Entertainment and attorney Howard Fishman of Hirsch Wallerstein. Kinnaman is repped by WME and Magnolia. Adler is repped by WME and Novo. Covington is repped by Echo Lake and Ben Rubinfeld at Ziffren Brittenham.
