The heist thriller from 'Personal Shopper' director Olivier Assayas also features Robert Pattinson and Rachel Weisz.

Sylvester Stallone has signed on to play a Chicago mob boss in Idol's Eye, the upcoming heist thriller from French director Olivier Assayas (Personal Shopper).

Stallone will replace Robert De Niro, who was originally attached to the film, and star alongside Robert Pattinson and Rachel Weisz.

The $25 million project is set to begin shooting in Toronto early next year. Lotus Entertainment has launched international sales on the film at AFM. WME Global is handling U.S. rights.

Pattinson plays a thief who unknowingly steals a blue diamond from Chicago mob boss Tony Accardo (Stallone), setting off a war between the two men as they both try to keep one step ahead of the FBI. Charles Gillibert, Alexandra Milchan, Scott Stuber, Scott Lambert and Michael Benaroya are producing Idol's Eye.
