The Hollywood Reporter's fourth annual Power Lawyers breakfast July 16 will feature a keynote Q&A with Warner Bros. president and COO Alan Horn moderated by Matthew Belloni, THR's managing editor of features.

Leah Weil, senior exec vp and general counsel at Sony Pictures Entertainment, will be awarded the "Raising the Bar" Studio Lawyer Award.

Weil will be presented the award by Amy Pascal, co-chairman of Sony Pictures Entertainment and chairman of SPE Motion Picture Group. The award is presented annually to an in-house attorney who has distinguished him or herself with effective service to his/her studio or network. Previous "Raising the Bar" recipients include Steve Spira and Bernardine Brandis.

"I'm honored to receive this award from The Hollywood Reporter," Weil said. "Especially at this transitional moment in our industry's history, I've come to appreciate that entertainment and media law can be just as exciting as the movies, television and other content we produce."

The breakfast honors 100 of the best and brightest entertainment and media lawyers and coincides with THR's Power Lawyers special issue.

"It's important to shine a light on a powerful segment of the Hollywood community," Belloni said. "This year's Power Lawyers issue and event promise to be the biggest and best we've ever done."

The invitation-only breakfast will be held at the Four Seasons in Beverly Hills. Sponsors for the event include City National Bank, JAMS and UBS.
