Alec Baldwin Involved in Scuffle With Photographer
Photographs show the actor pinning a man to the hood of a vehicle.
There's no love lost between Alec Baldwin and New York's paparazzi.
The actor and new father was involved in a scuffle with freelance photographer Paul Adao, according to photos published by Splash News. In one photograph, it looks like Baldwin is holding Adao against the hood of a car, which the Daily News reported was an unmarked police car.
Baldwin reportedly lost his temper after seeing several photographers trailing him as he walked down a Greenwich Village street with his wife, Hilaria, according to a bystander quoted in the Daily News.
A rep for Baldwin did not immediately respond to request for comment.
Police officers spoke with both men, who admitted to pushing each other, but both declined to press charges, according to TMZ. A friend of the couple told the website that the actor's wife had gone into a tea store to avoid the photographer, with the source adding: "What kind of sick, twisted psychopath chases a woman who just got out of the hospital from having a baby into a tea store?"
Baldwin has long had a contentious relationship with the media. In June, he went on an expletive-filled Twitter rant against Daily Mail reporter George Stark, who incorrectly reported Hilaria Baldwin had been tweeting during the funeral of James Gandolfini. In February, a New York Post photographer claimed Baldwin called him a racial epithet (Baldwin denied the claims), and last summer a photographer said the actor struck him in the face outside of New York's Marriage License Bureau.
Baldwin and his wife welcomed their first child together, a daughter, on Friday.
