Alec Baldwin Teases Return of Trump Character on This Week's 'SNL'

Alec Baldwin as Donald Trump on SNL Oct 15 - H 2016

Baldwin was absent from the show last week, where Bryan Cranston brought back his 'Breaking Bad' character, Walter White, during the cold opening.

Alec Baldwin teased the appearance of his Donald Trump character on tonight's airing of Saturday Night Live.

Baldwin tweeted "I won't apple-agize. Tonight at 11:30. Live." followed by a photo of him dressed in his Donald Trump suit and wig." The tweet was in reference to an SNL joke that made fun of Trump mispronouncing the word "apologize."

Baldwin's Trump character was absent from the show last week. Bryan Cranston instead brought back his Breaking Bad character, Walter White, who said in the cold opening that he was picked by the president-elect to be the new head of the DEA. Host John Cena, however, played Trump in a skit imagining a day in the life of the president-elect.

Trump himself has not been too pleased with Baldwin's impersonation on the show. Trump recently tweeted, "Just tried watching Saturday Night Live - unwatchable! Totally biased, not funny and the Baldwin impersonation just can't get any worse. Sad." Baldwin later responded tweeting, "Release your tax returns and I'll stop. Ha."

Saturday's episode will be hosted by Casey Affleck with musical guest Chance the Rapper.
