Alex Da Kid Launches New Label Through Interscope

After scoring hits with Eminem's "Love the Way You Lie," Diddy-Dirty Money's "Coming Home" and Dr. Dre's "I Need A Doctor," the producer launches KIDinaKORNER label.

Grammy winner and multi platinum music producer Alex Da Kid will spearhead a new Interscope Records label called KIDinaKORNER.

Best known as the producer of hit songs such as "Love the Way You Lie" by Eminem featuring Rihanna (which spent seven consecutive weeks as #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart) as well as B.o.B.'s "Airplanes" and "Airplanes" (Part II)" featuring Paramore's Hayley Williams, Kid won a Grammy this year for Best Rap Album for Eminem's Recovery and earned four more nominations.

The new label will debut with singer-songwriter Skylar Grey's solo album. Grey was featured on three other recent Alex Da Kid-helmed hits: "Coming Home" by Diddy-Dirty Money, "I Need A Doctor" from Dr. Dre featuring Eminem and Lupe Fiasco's "Words I Never Said."

"Developing artists that influence and shape popular culture in an authentic way has always been a huge goal of mine," said Alex Da Kid in a statement. Added Jimmy Iovine, Chairman of Interscope Geffen A&M: "Interscope has always been committed to great producers. I think in Alex we found one that will be around for a long time."

Alex Da Kid was also nominated for eight Billboard awards including: Top Radio Song, Top 100 Song, Top Rap Song and Top Streaming Song (Audio). He is also the first producer/songwriter to have his songs reach half a billion views on YouTube.

Interscope Records is a unit of Universal Music Group.
