Alexander Wang, Diane von Furstenberg Make 'TIME' 100 Most Influential People List
The powerhouse designers are in the company of Ruth Bader Ginsberg, Misty Copeland and yes, Kanye West, on this year's list.
Time magazine released their annual list of The 100 Most Influential People on Thursday morning, and fashion designers Diane von Furstenberg and Alexander Wang were among the elite few that made the cut.
Furstenberg — who is rightly listed under the "Icons" category — was celebrated with a sweet homage written by Jessica Alba, in which the actress applauds Furstenberg's work not only as a designer, but also as an entrepreneur, a philanthropist and mother. "Her constant inspiration reminds us that nothing looks better on a woman than the clarity, courage and conviction of vision," writes Alba.

Karlie Kloss penned Alexander Wang's tribute, highlighting the incredible career achievements of "the coolest kid in fashion" including his role as creative director of Balenciaga, his wildly successful H&M collaboration and of course, his celebrated namesake line. The 31-year-old, who is listed under the "Artists" category, is also admired by Kloss for his "unique ability to make high fashion ubiquitous" as well as his "irrepressible" spirit.
Rounding out the list are Kanye and Kim Kardashian West (with tributes penned by Elon Musk and Martha Stewart, respectively), Taylor Swift, Björk, Amy Schumer (who is referred to as an "honesty bomb" by Tilda Swinton) and TIME 100 staples including president Barack Obama and Pope Francis.
This year's issue features five covers starring West, Ruth Bader Ginsberg, Misty Copeland, Bradley Cooper and Jorge Ramos, all shot by Sebastian Kim.
