'Alice Through the Looking Glass' Returns to Wonderland in New Teaser

Alice in Wonderland ($1.02 billion)

The Tim Burton-directed film was a sleeper hit, grossing $334.2 million in North America and $690.1 million at the international box office. The film teamed Burton with two of his go-two actors—Depp and Helena Bonham Carter, as well as Mia Wasikowska and Anne Hathaway.

Mia Wasikowska and Johnny Depp are returning in the sequel to the $1 billion Disney hit.

Alice is back for a very important date. Disney released a short teaser clip on Sunday for Alice Through the Looking Glass, the sequel to Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland.

The 10-second teaser shows Mia Wasikowska reprising her role as Alice as she walks through a door only to find herself falling from the sky. Johnny Depp is set to return as the Mad Hatter.  

The film is being directed by James Bobin and produced by Joe Roth, Jennifer Todd and Suzanne Todd. 

Alice Through the Looking Glass and all its madness hits theaters on May 27, 2016.
