All Def Digital Taps Jeru Tillman as VP of Programming and Development

The multiplatform media company was co-founded by Russell Simmons.

Jeru Tillman has been named vp programming and development at All Def Digital, Russell Simmons' multiplatform media company.

The announcement was made Monday by ADD company president and CEO Sanjay Sharma.

"Jeru has been a powerful contributor and producer on our All Def Comedy Live weekly showcase," said Simmons. "He has a great instinct for talent and we know he will be a fantastic addition to the All Def Digital team, helping build upon our success in comedic programming." 

Tillman's background is in producing, and he is currently ADD’s producing partner for its weekly comedy showcase All Def Comedy Live. In his new role, Tillman will report to Chris Conti, head of content at ADD.

“I’ve always admired Russell Simmons as a visionary and pioneer in the worlds of business and urban culture, and as I witnessed firsthand the company’s explosive trajectory, I knew it was a great fit and home base to build up live franchises as well as digital and television programming,” said Tillman.

All Def Digital recently announced a new series, All Def Roast, which Tillman will be spearheading.
