All Euro 2008 games airing in Canada

Sports Network, Rogers Sportsnet ink pact

TORONTO -- Canadian soccer fans will see all 31 games of the Euro 2008 European championships live via a pact between rival sport channels the Sports Network and Rogers Sportsnet.

TSN acquired the English-language broadcast rights to Euro 2008 last year and intends to air 16 games.

To avoid scheduling conflicts with its other live sporting TV events, TSN will in turn sub-license the remaining 15 games to Rogers Sportsnet. That move will ensure Canadians can watch every game live from Austria and Switzerland, beginning June 7.

Both sports channels will also share on-air talent and studio space for Euro 2008 pregame and postgame shows.
