Allen has his latest muse for London-set pic

Woody Allen has his gal.

Naomi Watts has been cast in Allen's latest untitled project opposite Josh Brolin and Anthony Hopkins. The Allen-scripted film will shoot in London in the summer.

No plot details have been released.

Letty Aronson, Steve Tenenbaum and Jaume Roures are producing the film, which the Spain-based Mediapro is financing. Allen and Mediapro partnered on "Vicky Cristina Barcelona," which has grossed $51 million worldwide.

Watts' timing couldn't be better: Penelope Cruz on Sunday won the Oscar for best supporting actress after working with Allen on "Vicky."

Allen's comedy "Whatever Works" will be released domestically June 23 by Sony Pictures Classics.

Watts, repped by CAA and Untitled Entertainment, most recently starred in the thriller "The International." She is filming Rodrigo Garcia's "Mother and Child." (partialdiff)
