'Aloha' Trailer Flub: Oscar Winner Cameron Crowe Dubbed Oscar "Nominated"

The writer/director won the Academy Award for best original screenplay in 2001 for 'Almost Famous.'

The trailer for Cameron Crowe's new film Aloha really sells him short.

Thirty seconds in, the trailer describes Crowe as an Academy Award-nominated writer, when in fact Crowe won the Oscar for best original screenplay in 2001 for Almost Famous.

The mistake might be forgiven: Crowe had previously failed to win the best picture and best original screenplay Oscars for Jerry Maguire, despite being nominated for both.

Sony did not immediately return a request for comment.
