The drama shoots in New York later in March.

Azita Ghanizada, who starred in the Syfy show Alphas, has joined Rachel Weisz and Michael Shannon in Joshua Marston's untitled drama that is in pre-production.

Danny Glover and Kathy Bates are also on the roll call.

The script, which Marston also wrote, centers on a man (Shannon) who is grappling with a decision about whether or not to follow his wife, who has been accepted to a graduate program, to a new state. The decision gets more complicated when an old flame (Weisz), a woman who often changes identities, reenters his life at a birthday dinner party.

Ghanizada will play Shannon's wife.

The drama shoots in New York later in March. Lucas Joaquin, Lars Knudsen, and Jay Van Hoy of production shingle Parts and Labor are producing.

The role is a big break for Ghanizada who, in addition to Alphas, has appeared in shows ranging from Veronica Mars and Numbers, to The Mentalist and Up All Night. She last shot the NBC pilot Ellen More or Less.

Ghanizada is repped by Don Buchwald & Associates,  Luber Roklin and attorney Dave Feldman.
