'Amal' takes top prize at Indian fest

Sixth annual event concluded Sunday

Richie Mehta's "Amal" took the grand jury prize for best narrative feature, while Yunus Vally's "The Glow of White Women" was named best documentary at the sixth annual Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles, which concluded Sunday.

Audience awards went to Manish Acharya's narrative film "Loins of Punjab Presents" and Christopher Mitchell's doc "Super 30."
