Amanda Knox co-director Brian McGinn has signed with WME, The Hollywood Reporter has exclusively learned. He previously was with UTA.
The documentary, which explores the sensational trial of the American student accused of murdering her roommate in Italy in 2007, premiered Friday on Netflix. McGinn, a producer on the project, co-wrote it with Matthew Hamachek and directed alongside Rod Blackhurst.
McGinn's relationship with Netflix extends to serving as an executive producer on the streamer's Chef's Table, for which he shared an Emmy nomination for outstanding documentary or nonfiction series this year, and directing three of its episodes. He also helmed HBO's 2015 documentary Ferrell Takes the Field, in which Will Ferrell played all nine positions for 10 Major League Baseball teams in one day.
McGinn continues to be repped by Ziffren Brittenham.
