The company's one-to-two hour delivery service will now rush products to Prime Members in Santa Monica, Redondo Beach, Silver Lake, Irvine and elsewhere in L.A. and Orange County.

Southern California residents can now get groceries and other everyday essentials from Amazon through the online retailer's super-fast Prime Now delivery service.

Amazon has expanded its one-to-two hour delivery service to Los Angeles and Orange County, including Santa Monica, Redondo Beach, Silver Lake and Irvine. The online retailer has set up four Prime Now hubs in Southern California to provide Prime members with quick delivery of groceries, TVs, Kindle devices and tens of thousands of other items.

In the next few days, Prime Now will add deliveries from L.A. stores like Sprouts Farmers Market, Bristol Farms, Sprinkles Cupcakes, Fresh & Easy, Erewhon Organic Grocer and 99 Ranch Market.

"Customers love the convenience of getting items delivered right to their doors in under an hour," Amazon's Prime Now director Stephenie Landry said in a statement. "The logistical expertise that we've developed since day one fuels Prime Now and we're excited to expand one- and two-hour delivery to Los Angeles and surrounding areas."

The Prime Now app is available on iOS and Android devices and the service is available to Prime members from 8 a.m. to midnight seven days a week. Two-hour delivery is free and one-hour delivery is available for $7.99.

With the addition of Los Angeles, Prime Now operates in 13 cities worldwide, including Atlanta, Baltimore, Chicago, Dallas, London, Miami, Seattle and New York's Manhattan and Brooklyn boroughs.
