Amazon, Liberty Global Order Psychological Thriller Series 'The Feed'
The project comes from Channing Powell and Studio Lambert.
Amazon Prime Video, Liberty Global and All3Media International have come together to order the psychological thriller series The Feed from writer Channing Powell (The Walking Dead) and Studio Lambert.
Based on the recently published novel by Nick Clark Windo, the show will launch in 2019 globally. The Feed will stream on Amazon Prime Video in the U.S., Canada and Latin America, and across Liberty Global’s international platforms, including Virgin Media in the U.K.
The London-set series, set in the near future, centers on the family of the man who invented an omnipresent technology called The Feed. Implanted into nearly everyone’s brain. The Feed enables people to share information, emotions and memories instantly. But when things start to go wrong and users become murderous, the family is driven apart as they struggle to control the monster they have unleashed.
All3Media International will distribute The Feed elsewhere worldwide, beyond the Amazon and Liberty Global platforms.
Powell (who joined the Walking Dead writers room in 2013), Susan Hogg and Stephen Lambert will executive produce. The lead director is Carl Tibbetts (The Woman in White).
Liberty Global earlier made its first move into original dramas by greenlighting The Rook, along with Starz and Lionsgate.
