AMC Networks CEO Josh Sapan's 2015 Pay Drops 56 Percent to $17.7M
The boss of the company behind 'The Walking Dead' had made $40.3 million in 2014.
AMC Networks CEO Josh Sapan received compensation worth nearly $17.7 million in 2015, compared with $40.3 million in 2014. That meant a decline of 56 percent.
His 2014 compensation had been boosted by an amended and restated employment agreement, in which Sapan received a one-time special equity retention award of restricted stock units with an aggregate target value of $25 million, which vests on Dec. 31, 2020.
In 2013, he had earned $9.5 million, up from $8.9 million in 2012.
Details of his pay package for the latest year were disclosed in a regulatory filing. The company's flagship AMC channel has aired such hit shows as The Walking Dead. Its other networks include IFC, Sundance Channel and WE tv.
AMC Networks' stock rose 17 percent in 2015.
