American Music Awards: Justin Bieber to Close Show With Performance
The awards show airs Sunday on ABC.
The American Music Awards are getting ready to roll out the red carpet for this Sunday’s festivities and officially have tapped Justin Bieber as a performer.
The 21-year-old pop star has been on a whirlwind press run, promoting his fourth studio effort, Purpose. One look at his itinerary over the past week shows gigs on Today, The Tonight Show, The Late Late Show, the Halo Awards and a series of L.A. shows called An Evening With Justin Bieber in support of the Nov. 13 release.
Bieber joins an already-loaded AMAs performance lineup that includes host and performer Jennifer Lopez, as well as sets from 5 Seconds of Summer, Ariana Grande, Coldplay, Gwen Stefani, The Weeknd and a Star Wars performance from Pentatonix with a full symphony orchestra.
Expect the recent Billboard cover star to bring the jams like “Sorry” and “What Do You Mean?” to the AMAs, airing this Sunday, Nov. 22, at 8 p.m. on ABC.
