'Amsterdam' ratings fall, 'Idol' on top

Up against ABC's "Lost," the second episode of Fox's drama "New Amsterdam" dropped from its premiere rating Thursday night.

"Amsterdam" (10.6 million viewers, 3.6 preliminary rating among adults 18 to 49 and a 9 share) fell 20% from its Tuesday night debut. The "American Idol" results show (26.2 million, 9.3/24) provides a weaker lead-in (-12%) than the Tuesday night regular epiosde, but week-to-week "Idol" was up slightly. Fox won the night in viewers and the demo (averaging 18.4 million, 6.5/16).

ABC was second with a repeat leading into an on-par episode of "Lost" (12.9 million, 5.4/13), which ranked as the top-rated scripted show of the night. Lead-out "Eli Stone" (7.5 million, 2.6/7) was up a tick from last week.

Coming in third, CBS' "Survivor" (12.6 million, 4.0/10) hit a series low, followed by repeats.

Fourth-place NBC's "Celebrity Apprentice" (8.8 million, 3.5/8) was up 13% week to week, with "Lipstick Jungle" (5.9 million, 2.4/7) down a notch.

The CW aired repeats (averaging 1.9 million, 0.8/2).
