Amy Schumer Buys Back Father's Farm He Lost to Bankruptcy
The comedian posted a childhood video of herself at the farm, which was lost when her family went bankrupt.
Amy Schumer bought her family farm back this week, years after it was lost when her family had to file for bankruptcy.
"Today I bought my father's farm back," she posted on Instagram on Monday, alongside a screenshot of a Facetime between Schumer and her father, Gordon.
The comedian also shared a sweet and funny childhood video of herself at the farm. In it, the young Schumer is threatening to run away. "We lost the farm when we lost everything else," she wrote. Schumer's father was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis when she was nine and her family ended up filing for bankruptcy and losing the farm in the process. Schumer often visits her father at the assisted living facility where he now resides.
"Bye, Daddy," says the young Schumer, pouting, in the video. "You're going to miss me." He replies, "Of course I will my darling," which only further enrages Schumer.
