Amy Schumer Coaches Goldie Hawn Through Her Presentation at the Golden Globes
Amy Schumer helped her upcoming movie mom Goldie Hawn during their Golden Globes appearance Sunday night.
As they presented the award for best actor in a comedy or musical, which went to Ryan Gosling for La La Land, Schumer had to coach Hawn along, joking that Hawn forgot her glasses as she flubbed lines like "best comedy or mystical" instead of "musical" and the "most tainted men" instead of "talented men."
"In our new movie, Amy and I play mother and daughter," Hawn began.
"I play the daughter," Schumer joked, "but I read for both parts."
As Hawn tried to read the speech, she flubbed a few lines as Schumer tried to help her along, even asking Hawn's husband, Kurt Russell, to throw up her glasses. "I got it," Hawn assured them both.
Schumer and Hawn will star together in Snatched, in which Schumer's character convinces her mother (Hawn) to go on a trip to Ecuador with her. Their mother-daughter getaway quickly gets scary after they get kidnapped.
The film, written by Katie Dippold and directed by Jonathan Levine, also stars Ike Barinholtz, Randall Park and Wanda Sykes, and hits theaters May 12.
The 2017 Golden Globe Awards, hosted by Jimmy Fallon, were held at the Beverly Hilton on Sunday night.
