Amy Schumer Pregnant, Expecting First Child With Husband Chris Fischer
The actress announced the news on social media while urging her followers to vote in the midterm elections.
Amy Schumer took to social media on Monday to share a special announcement: she's pregnant and expecting her first child with husband Chris Fischer.
The actress shared a photo of her and Fischer's faces superimposed on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's bodies — using a photo where newly pregnant Markle is seen cradling her baby bump — and pointed fans to former CNN chief White House correspondent Jessica Yellin's Instagram page.
"About to announce some exciting news on @jessicayellin insta page. Please follow her for up to the minute #newsnotnoise she breaks down what’s really going on. She agreed to post a lil noise today for me! Follow her and VOTE!!" Schumer captioned the post.
"We are 15 days out from the midterms and there is a lot going on. I'll break down the latest for you coming up, but first I wanted to share some news from our community. Maybe it's noise, but it's happy noise," Yellin said on her Instagram story, referencing her #NewsNotNoise campaign. "So, I'm not in the business of making voting recommendations, but these are the recommendations of Amy Schumer — one of the most consistent and early supporters of #NewsNotNoise."
She added: "Now read all the way to the bottom. You'll see there's some news down there. Congratulations, Amy."
Yellin then posted a list of Schumer's preferred candidates, including Joe Donnelly for Indiana senator and Heidi Keitkamp for North Dakota senator. The end of the list reads, "I'm pregnant – Amy Schumer."
The I Feel Pretty star and Fischer tied the knot in February in a star-studded Malibu wedding ceremony. The pair exchanged "I dos" in front of around 80 guests, including Jennifer Lawrence, Chelsea Handler, Jake Gyllenhaal, David Spade and Jennifer Aniston, among other famous faces.
