Despite rampant Internet rumors, Amy Winehouse did not plan to adopt a 10-year-old from the Caribbean island of St. Lucia before she died, her rep confirms.
"It's not true," her rep tells TMZ.com of reports that she planned to bring Dannika Augustine to London, as the U.K. Daily Mirror claims.

"I think [Amy] might have met her in St. Lucia, but she was in no way about to adopt her," the rep adds.
Augustine's family tells the Daily Mirror, "I would call her Mum. And she would call me her daughter. She took care of me, and we had fun together. I loved her, and she loved me." Her grandmother also reportedly told the paper the adoption process was in the works.
