'An American Family' Marathon to Follow 'Cinema Verite'

World Channel will air the 12-hour 1973 reality series on April 25.

World Channel will air a marathon of An American Family, following the premiere of HBO’s Cinema Verite.

On Monday, April 25 from 12 a.m. to 12 p.m., viewers will be able to watch the series, which has not been seen in its entirety in more than two decades.

The 12-hour marathon of the original reality series that spawned a genre of reality television will give viewers a look into the Loud family of Santa Barbara.

Cinema Verite is a dramatized behind-the-scenes look at the making of An American Family, which aired on public television in 1973. (The first episode aired on PBS on Thursday, Jan. 11, 1973 at 9 p.m.)
